Ravikumar has professional experience that spans Education, Research, Consultancy, e-Learning, and Industry. It involved working for the multinational organization TATA Communication Ltd as Network Associate. As part of this role, he has been awarded SOC Star recognition as the best performer in Jan 2017.

He possesses in-depth acquaintance in the areas of Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Cyber Physical Systems, Energy, Smart Grid, Internet of Things, Interaction Design, UX Design, User Centered Design, and always open to acquiring new technologies.

He is an ardent researcher with interests in the Internet of Things, Cyber Security, Cyber Physical Systems, Energy Management, Smart Grid, User Experience, and Interaction Design. He has published research papers at international conferences across India in the domain of the Internet of Things, Energy, Smart Grid, and Cloud Computing. He has also two Design Registration and two Copyright Registration published in The Patent Office Journal of Intellectual property rights (IPR).
