Prof. Nitesh Kumar serves as Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Law at Vijaybhoomi University, Greater Mumbai. With over eight years of academic and administrative experience, he has previously held positions at Amity University, Alliance University, and RPM Law College, contributing extensively to legal pedagogy, research, and policy-oriented education.

He is a Ph.D. scholar at Shoolini University, Himachal Pradesh, pursuing research in Gender Studies and Constitutional Law. He holds an LL.M. in Business and Corporate Laws from ILS Law College, Pune, and a B.A. LL.B. from Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune, both with First Class distinction.

Dr. Kumar’s academic approach combines research-oriented pedagogy and Bloom’s taxonomy, fostering analytical reasoning and legal awareness. His key areas of expertise include Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence, Gender Studies, Contract Law, and Corporate Legal Systems.

At Vijaybhoomi University, he also serves as Area Chair for Social Immersion Programmes (SIP), Coordinator for the Control of Examination, and Area Head for Placements and Internships, in addition to leading the Department of Law. His academic excellence earned him the title of Appreciation Award for Faculty (2024).He has been part of multiple FDPs, Workshops & Conclaves at National & International Level.

Dr. Kumar’s research and publications span emerging areas in constitutional governance, gender rights, environmental justice, and artificial intelligence in legal systems. His notable publications include:

Before academia, Dr. Kumar gained corporate legal experience with Tata Motors and the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), working on compliance, contracts, and regulatory affairs. This industry insight enriches his teaching and research with real-world application.
