Songwriter, Composer, Producer, Performer, Hospitality Expert & Educator Shayne Gomes is a multi-faceted professional who brings a
unique blend of artistic talent, leadership, and global experience to his work as an educator and mentor at Vijaybhoomi University. Born
and raised in a family of musicians, Shayne's passion for music has been a constant throughout his life. From performing in high school
musicals and representing his school and college in music, theatre, and elocution, to showcasing his talent on the global stage, his journey
has been nothing short of extraordinary. He has had the honor of representing India twice at the World Choir Olympics in China and
Germany with the Stop Gaps Choral Ensemble, and has collaborated as a backup vocalist with renowned artists such as A.R. Rahman,
Clinton Cerejo, Joss Stone, Mick Jagger, Damian Marley, Dave Stewart, and Vishal Bharadwaj. Shayne's music journey has led him to
establish his own music production company ‘Mantis Music’ , where he is working on a variety of live industry projects. Shayne has also
performed at numerous gigs and major productions in Mumbai. His work continues to inspire and elevate the music community. Beyond
his musical talents, Shayne’s career in hospitality has been equally remarkable. A graduate of India’s top hospitality institution, IHM
Mumbai, Shayne began his career as a Corporate Leadership Trainee at Grand Hyatt Mumbai, quickly advancing to the position of Assistant
Restaurant Manager. His leadership journey continued with Etihad Airways as an Inflight Food & Beverage Manager, where he thrived for
nearly a decade, working with over 130 different nationalities and traveling to over 60 countries. This global exposure has shaped him into
a holistic professional with a deep understanding of leadership and crosscultural communication. Shayne’s love for music never faded,
and he pursued a second degree in Music, completing his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Production from True School of Music, having
received the Dean’s Gold Medal. Now, as the Head of Personality Development, Assistant Professor, Head of Student Affairs and Head of
Admissions at True School of Music, Shayne is dedicated to guiding students through their own transformative journeys. He combines his
international expertise in hospitality with his passion for music, inspiring students to achieve excellence both personally and
professionally. Shayne is deeply committed to creating an environment where students not only hone their talents but also develop the
skills to succeed in a globalized world. His diverse experiences in hospitality, music, and education make him a valuable mentor and an
integral part of Vijaybhoomi University’s community.
