Saunak has completed his PhD from IIT Hyderabad on Theoretical and Phenomenological Aspects of High Energy Particle Physics in the Colliders. Before his engagement with the School of Science & Technology, Vijaybhoomi University, he held faculty positions at INSOFE Education Private Limited and at ATLAS SkillTech University. Prior to that, he held the position of a Post Doctoral Research Associate at the Department of Physics and Astrophysics, University of Delhi jointly with SGTB Khalsa College. He obtained Double Masters in Theoretical Physics and High Energy Physics from the University of Paris-Saclay along with a Diplome d’Ingenieur Degree from Ecole Polytechnique, France.
Since his engagement as an academic, he has been actively involved in teaching core subjects along with the highly applied technical know-hows involving Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. He has been the course instructor for Mathematical Foundations for Data Science, Basic Probability and Statistics, Statistical Modelling, Machine Learning, Neural Networks, Optimisations, Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing. He has been a guest faculty of NMIMS, Mumbai for MBA program for Working Professionals.
His present research interest revolves around the implementation of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in the Detection of Natural Laws so far unknown to mankind. This encompasses the field of Particle Physics, Biology and Medicines. He is currently co-mentoring a doctoral student from the Department of Physics, SRM University, Amravathi. Undergrad Students from the School of Data Science, Vijaybhoomi University are working on their respective projects involving AI as tool for
Innovation under his guidance.
His current research collaboration comprises of Analysis of CERN Data in finding hints of New Physics using Neural Nets involving Unsupervized Learning, Analysis of Sloan Digital Sky Survey Data for improvization of classification algorithm, Improvization of predictive algorithms for diagnostics in Biomedical Industry.
He has so far five publications in acclaimed international peer-reviewed journals with impact factors around five and a collective citation of fifty, one conference proceeding, and one under communication.
