Experience:
Over the past 3 decades, Dr. Sridhar has donned various roles requiring very diverse mindsets to succeed – a researcher tutored by a world-renowned academician in the US to an engineer in the cut-throat world of the Silicon Valley’s hi-tech industry to a scientist in the Indian Defence Establishment to a senior executive in the challenging world of an IT startup to building innovative software products in Indian IT industry to an entrepreneur in co-founding INSOFE focused on applied education in Data Science/AI/ML to designing and delivering bachelor’s to doctoral degree programs in academia and corporate training for companies globally.
Dr. Sridhar worked as an AI Consultant to upGrad, as Global Professor of Practice at Golden Gate University, USA, as Adjunct Faculty at Case Western Reserve University, USA, as Dean at uGDX School of Technology, ATLAS SkillTech University, as Co-founder and Executive VP (Academics and General Administration) at INSOFE Education, as Head, Advanced Business Solutions Centre and Principal Products Officer, Prithvi Information Solutions, as Chief Operating Officer, Axaya Cybertech, as Scientist, Defence Metallurgical Research Laboratory, and as Applications Development Engineer, KLA-Tencor Corporation, USA.
He is responsible for ensuring high-quality delivery of a Doctor of Business Administration program in AI for Golden Gate University, USA. In addition, he is helping establish AI departments to deliver MS programs in US universities. He also helps manage and conduct corporate training globally in AI/ML.
Earlier, as Dean of uGDX School of Technology at ATLAS SkillTech University, he played a key role in establishing the school and delivering quality education at an undergraduate level focused on the fast-evolving field of AI and ML.
In the early years of his career in the Silicon Valley, he worked on multi-million dollar semiconductor fab automation projects for customers in USA, Europe and Asia that included IBM, Seagate, TDK Group, LSI Logic and National Semiconductor. Later, he led the computer simulation programs for Indian Defence labs aimed at improving tank armour for a variety of current and future threats. This, interestingly, was a direct outcome of his Ph.D. work where he worked on improving anti-tank projectiles.
Prior to co-founding INSOFE, he managed many large Data Analytics, Web 2.0 and internet projects. Over the years, he has gained vast experience in dealing with clients worldwide and setting up processes to develop and manage projects efficiently.
The diversity of the subjects and environments has been instrumental in molding his personality. While the researcher in him enables him to dig deep into subjects and focus on the minute details, the Valley’s industry experience ensures that he does not lose sight of the big picture and the business interests. The entrepreneur in him ensures he takes a holistic view of everything and understands the constraints within which to work and deliver. The academic in him helps him communicate and impart this knowledge to people he interacts with.
He has published over 30 papers in international journals and conference proceedings, and his work from mid-1990s is still cited regularly nearly 25-30 years later. He is passionate about teaching and teaches various subjects in Data Science/AI/ML.
