The Master of Science in Business Administration, Major Tourism (MSc BA T) is a dynamic program designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the tourism industry. The curriculum encompasses core business administration courses, specialized modules in tourism management, and hands-on experiential learning. Students engage in subjects such as Strategic Tourism Planning, Destination Management, and Sustainable Tourism Practices. The program uniquely integrates global perspectives through a combination of coursework in India and Switzerland, fostering a deep understanding of diverse cultural and business landscapes. With a focus on practical skills and theoretical knowledge, graduates emerge well-equipped to lead and innovate in the ever-evolving field of tourism.

Admission Process & Tuition Fee

Criteria to assess future students in MSc Business Administration with a major in tourism The assessment is based on several hard and soft factors, which gets determined in analysing the written application (motivation letter, CV, and transcript of records) as well as in an oral personal interview. Hard factors – Bachelor’s degree equivalent to 180 ECTS in Business Administration or Management, Economics or Tourism, which involves the following courses o Strategic Management o Marketing o Accounting & Financial Management o Economics o Research Skills (Qualitative and quantitative)* o Statistics o Tourism** – C1 Diploma in English (IELTS, Cambridge, TOEFL, or similar). Soft factors – Critical thinking – Verbal expression – Independent working If any of the hard factors are missing, we offer pre-master modules to catch up. *Research skills and most of the soft factors will be assessed in examining an individual research project (such as a bachelor thesis or similar).

Soft factors – Critical thinking – Verbal expression – Independent working * Research skills and most of the soft factors will be assessed in examining an individual research project (such as a bachelor thesis or similar). The requested tourism knowledge can also be obtained by passing a MOOC of the University of Queensland (UQx) in Tourism and Travel Management.

Career Opportunities After Program Completion

The university will not be providing work visa post completion of the program. The students will need to get the same from a confirmed job offer

Students have the opportunity to enrol into a second degree on the basis of study abroad programme offered in cooperation with our partner, Edinburgh Napier University in Scotland, Great Britain.

Students may apply for a professional internship (Paten programme) in a local tourism company.

The average salary for Internship is CHF 4,650 per month in the Switzerland. The average additional cash compensation for a Intern in the Switzerland is CHF 1,650, with a range from CHF 534 – CHF 3,000.
