Kanyathon 2026: The 15th Edition of India’s Largest Student-Driven Movement Kanyathon 2026: How 13,000+ Runners Built India’s Largest Student-Led Movement When thousands of footsteps hit the pavement on March 8th – International Women’s Day it is no longer just a marathon. It is a declaration. This year marked the historic 15th edition of Kanyathon, and it was nothing short of a massive, pan-India takeover. What began in 2011 with a humble 400 participants has officially exploded into India’s largest student-led charity run, bringing together a staggering 13,000+ participants across Bengaluru, Karjat, and BITS Pilani. But to understand the true scale of Kanyathon 2026, you have to look beyond the finish line. The Purpose: Over 3 Lakh Lives Changed At its absolute core, Kanyathon is built on a single, unwavering mission: Run for Her. This initiative exists to challenge the status quo and create real, tangible change for young girls across India. The impact of this movement is undeniable. To date, Kanyathon has positively impacted over 3 lakh girls. The funds raised directly fuel vital initiatives, including life-changing scholarships, the establishment of Kanyathon Shiksha Kendras, and targeted programs focused on digital literacy, education, and health. From tiny eight-year-olds sprinting down the track to college students pushing their absolute limits, every single person who laced up their shoes this year ran with one unified goal – to secure a safer, brighter, and more equitable future for her. Powered by the Youth: A 100% Student-Driven Powerhouse What truly sets Kanyathon apart from corporate-backed marathons is the raw hustle behind the scenes. The monumental scale of this 15th edition was masterminded by the relentless student communities of Vijaybhoomi University (VU), IFIM, and JAGSoM. These students didn’t just show up to run; they built this movement from the ground up. They managed the complex logistics across three major locations, drove the marketing campaigns, and rallied a community of 13,000 runners. It is a masterclass in youth leadership, proving that when this generation aligns behind a critical social cause, their execution is flawless. Earning the National Spotlight When a community pushes this hard for a cause that matters, the country has no choice but to pay attention. Because of the sheer scale and purpose of this Women’s Day run, Kanyathon 2026 captured nationwide media attention, securing 52 media exposures. The mission dominated the news cycle, earning features across top-tier national publications like Firstpost, The New Indian Express, Deccan Herald, and Curly Tales, alongside massive regional visibility in Samyukta Karnataka and Prajavani. The media simply documented what the students already knew: Kanyathon is an unstoppable force. Thank You for Fueling the Movement A massive thank you goes out to every single participant, volunteer, supporter, partner, and sponsor. You are the engine behind this initiative. Because of your dedication, Kanyathon 2026 was a monumental success. The 15th edition proved what we can achieve together. The bar has been raised, but the mission is far from over. We ran for her. And the whole country watched.

Karjat : India’s leading liberal professional university brings to you the fourth edition of For Not For 2023 International debate competition after the humongous success of the previous editions. The spirit of Vijaybhoomi is to create a liberal mindset and foster confidence in expressing oneself freely. FOR NOT FOR is an annual event designed on an international framework to get the youth across an international forum to ponder, seek, discuss and debate issues of international interest. The objective of FNF is to let young minds come together to deliberate on global concerns and build awareness of liberal education. The competition grew in 2022 in terms of scale after the first and the second edition. The fourth edition will be even bigger and better. The third edition brought together 110 participants from over 100 national and international schools, eminent judges like International Debate competition winners, Principals, Senior Academicians, and Media. The winners of the 2022 competition were students from Reliance Foundation school in Surat, Ullens School in Lalitpur, Nepal, Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar in Indore and DPS Modern Indian School in Doha, Qatar. This time, FNF has proudly collaborated with Youth 20 (Y20) which is an official consultation forum for youth from all G20 member countries. Y20 actively encourages youth as future leaders to raise awareness of global events, exchange ideas, argue, negotiate, and reach consensus. FNF topics will address the G20 key issues. FNF 2023 will have two competitions for different grades, Junior and Senior following the same format as its previous editions, which is a hybrid model in the British Parliamentary Debate format. The virtual rounds for Preliminaries and Pre- Quarters will be on 14th, 15th and 21st. The Quarters, Semi and Final Rounds will be on 4th and 5th of November as a part of an Offline Leadership Retreat at the Vijaybhoomi campus in Karjat. FNF, as always, has exciting cash prizes for the winner and runner up worth Rs. 2,60,000 for both Junior and Senior categories. In addition, certificates, and prizes for other finalists too. FNF is organized to bring out the skills in the students like debating along with strong persuasive skills, adept at critical thinking, innovation, keen sense of creativity and out-of-the-box views. To foster holistic development, the Retreat will also offer a variety of workshops encompassing diverse fields, such as music, design, AI, data analytics, and business. FNF 2023 will build skills through Initium, the virtual skill-building series which will be conducted by experts before the Preliminaries. Participants will receive vital advice on how to conduct themselves as well as making arguments in sessions. Expressing his views, the President of the University, Shri Sanjay Padode said, “I feel immensely proud of Vijaybhoomi to be the only university to organize such an international debate competition for the fourth time consecutively. We came up with this in 2020 and the competition has been growing every year. Looking at the responses for FNF in the last edition we were inspired to initiate it again. This is a great opportunity for the students as it builds awareness on liberal education and enhances their critical thinking skills. Every year we have participants from different countries and I feel this is a great chance for students to interact and upskill themselves. I hope that we continue to do this every year to provide more global exposure for our students.” Registrations are open till 12th October. To register: https://fnf.vijaybhoomi.edu.in/

Mumbai : India’s first liberal professional university, Vijaybhoomi University conducted its 3rd Convocation ceremony at the campus yesterday. The renowned musician, composer, and singer & Padma Shri awardee, Subha Mudgal was the Chief Guest and Mr. Sunil Rohokale, CEO and MD, ASK Asset and Wealth Management Group was the Guest of Honor for the event. Shri Sanjay Padode, President, Vijaybhoomi University and Dr. Atish Chattopadhyay, Vice-Chancellor, Vijaybhoomi University graced the occasion with their presence along with other dignitaries, senior faculty members, students & parents. The graduating batches included the students of BBA and MBA from Jagdish Sheth School of Management (JAGSOM) and B.Music (in Music Production and Hindustani Playback Vocals) from True School of Music (TSM). Sharing her experience, Shubha Mudgal said, It’s been several decades since I started performing music and it’s my honor to work with the finest musicians but when I introduce myself to somebody, people want to know about my Gurus more than awards and performances. And for me, that’s something I wanted to share with you because when you go out in the competitive world and say you are a graduate of Vijaybhoomi University, you will get a certain respect and standard that has been set by the University, which I hope you will always treasure and look after. As students of music, we are required to commit ourselves to a lifelong immersion in the subject that we are studying. I wish you all to remain a student all your life. Keep learning so that you can share more of your knowledge with others. There are so many schools in your university, each one of them coexisting harmoniously and peacefully and not threatening each other. Isn’t that what India is about diversity which really respects the others as well. I’m sure you will come up with wonderful ideas that will make you the leaders for this country and for this world. Addressing the graduates, Shri Sanjay Padode said, “I want to start off by saying a big congratulations to all the graduates and I am so proud of all of you to come this far by putting in all the efforts in your academic years. A special mention for Aswini Patro who has proven himself and excelled in every possible way to get the President’s medal. It’s lovely to witness such talent. Having said that, I would also like to remind all the students about our mission of being holistic, socially responsible and continuously employable professionals. Our guest of honor made a very important point about holistic build up which is physical fitness that even I am subscribed to in my life. I would urge every student to make that little investment and see how wonderfully your life will change. Then talking about social responsibility, I am sure most of you follow it. Then comes the employability which I know most of you think is employment. It actually is the ability to add value to society at any point of time. As long as you can make yourself useful to society, I think you will always be employable. We all have this habit of asking a question which is “What am I going to get”. I think we should rather ask ourselves “What am I going to give”. As long as you are focused on that, you will be a continuous learner and never experience a failure.” The event also witnessed conferring of awards, where the meritorious and outstanding students were recognised for their hard work and significant contribution.
